Peats Ridge is the alternative way to spend New Years in Australia! Set in the beautiful Glenworth Valley, just over one hour North of Sydney, the Festival is a total escape from the city, from your job, from everything!

In the valley you will find a bewildering array of things to do. Peats Ridge is a Festival of Music, Arts & Sustainability and we have a vast, hard working team who move heaven and earth to create a total experience for you to become lost in.

At Peats, it's all about the vibe. Happy, smiling, joyful and kooky. Each year the Festival grows, we see the return of much loved faces and places plus new worlds to explore each time.

Musically, we have a cornucopia of talent for you. We guarantee you will hear music at Peats Ridge that will stay in your collection for the rest of your life. We focus on quality, what ever style it may be. From unknowns who applied to perform at Peats and have gone on to become stars, like Angus & Julia Stone or The Jezabels, through to diverse internationals like Lamb or De La Soul to homegrown heroes like Gotye and Xavier Rudd. There's nothing like a truly great performance under the stars, it's the best way to experience music. Last year Gotye saw us into the new year with a magical set and we can't wait to celebrate Midnight on NYE with The John Butler Trio this year!

Artistically, we bring the Festival to life everywhere you look with a range of original and commissioned arworks, installations and circus, acrobatics, theatre, performance and a Wonderland of the weird.

Our mission is to be a sustainable event and to help spread the word about preserving this beautiful world we live in. At our Eco-Living Village you can hear about the cutting edge in Sustainability and developments in the world.

Plus we have a Childrens Festival, a fantastic opening ceremony from the Darkinjung people, a world of organic and delicious foods, fantastic bars and watering holes, riverside camping and swimming, late night lairs and above all, a community of artists, performers, volunteers and friends who come together once a year to celebrate the joy of life at Peats Ridge in a collective experience that is so big it's hard to take it all in. And don't forget the literally massive New Years Eve Fancy Dress Masquerade Party! It will amaze you.

* Over 90 acts added to the Festival lineup! *

With the Festival fast approaching we thought it was about time to drop our third and final musical artist release, and boy it's a humdinger. As well as that we've got some top news on the beer front with Coopers on tap across all our high dispense bars at the Festival!

With over 90 acts joining you this New Years, we've stuck to our commitment of not only bringing you the top shelf of well known acts but also the Cream of Australia's up and coming talent. As well as this we're also releasing the full lineup for the Dub Shack and Pirates Lair.

Festival Director, Matt Grant says there's a whole smorgasbord of great acts for patrons to keep a watchful eye on. "If you've never seen a full brass band dropping hip-hop beats then make sure you check out the Hi-Tops Brass Band. I'd also urge everyone to check out the heavy rhythms of Svelt, nothing sets a mood like a bit of jungle dub hip-hop, these boys first played Peats several years back as a renegade act on Biffo's Blow Up Bonanza and they've been a favourite of mine ever since".'

Hailing from Melbourne Hiatus Kaiyote are a 4-piece independent future soul group with a whole heap of big name festivals like Woodford Music Festival under their belt. Believe us when we say that these guys are ones to keep your eyes on.

House heavy weights DJ Jungle Snake & DJ Dreamcatcher AKA Slow Blow (as pictured above), are coming straight out of their Goodgod residency in Sydney to Peats! The boys have gone from cult-underground-party, to a righteous institution for in-the-know-house-heads. So far they've hosted iconic internationals - Soulwax, Azari & III, Tiga and In Flagranti so you know their set is going to kill it!

With remixes for Two Door Cinema Club, 2 Bears, Groove Armada, Azari & III, Temper Trap and Bag Raiders Softwar represent the new wave of Australian electronic artists breaking into the internation scene. Having supported big players like Mark Ronson, you know these boys have their sound on lock.

Having shared the stage with Roni Size and Skrillex, Kobra Kai will be dropping some live Drum n' Bass with a touch of Grime. Whilst playing on the back of their latest release - Dark Continent, Cold Century - The Book of Ships Solo have been compared to Animal Collective's Panda Bear.

Known as the creative geniuses behind Australian acts Tijuana Cartel and Audio Shaman, George & O'Sullivan are bringing their unique flavour to Peats Ridge. Self-described as a dubsteppy world of trip-hop beats, glitchy soundscapes and Indian and flamenco influences we can safely say its one of the most musically eclectic and diverse sounds we've heard.
