The Sounds was formed 1999 in Helsingborg, Sweden. With Maja Ivarsson as their front singer The Sounds combine punk influenced indierock with melodic synth music. Their first hit album was Living in America.

Two years after their "Something to die for", The Sounds are back with a new single "Shake Shake Shake".
