Electric Castle confirms new headliners for the 8th edition of the festival: along with Twenty One Pilots, Gorillaz and Deftones, it includes Disclosure, Peggy Gou and Moderat as headliners.

Dozens of other important artists are in the line-up, including Caribou, Editors, Aurora, Sven Vath, Sofi Tukker and Mogwai.

5 days, 10 prepared scenes, over 250 artists from all musical areas - the eighth edition of Electric Castle brings back the festival in the established format, but with many novelties waiting to be discovered, between July 13-17, on the Bánffy estate in Bonțida.

The organizers promise an extended festival in terms of surface and new experiences for the 30,000 fans who have already purchased season tickets and for those who decide to join them.

Twenty One Pilots, Gorillaz and Deftones are bands that must be seen live at least once in a lifetime, to live show and live music lessons. Their reconfirmation for Electric Castle is all the more important as, during the 2-year break from world touring, the bands had time to come up with new materials. Twenty One Pilots released their 6th album of their career last year - Scale and Icy - a material that contains exactly the mix of rock, rap and synth-pop that millions of fans, including from Romania, were waiting for to complete the already famous Stressed Out or Ride hits.

Their concerts are always a mixture of chaos and melancholy in intense doses, as expected in Bonțida, for the first time in Romania.
Deftones are already in the history of non-metal music, a place confirmed by the Ohms pandemic album nominated for a Grammy and voted in the top 10 best albums of 2020, listened to, live, for the first time in Romania, at Electric Castle.
The list of new names on the Electric Castle 8 poster is opened by the pioneers of deep house music, Disclosure and Peggy Gou

After almost 30 years of "virtual" existence, Gorillaz continues to amaze even the generation that is only now discovering big hits like Feel Good Inc. or Clint Eastwood. On the shelf with Grammy Awards, Brit Awards, MTV we hope they will put the award for best show at EC8.

The list of new names on the Electric Castle 8 poster is opened by the pioneers of deep house music, Disclosure and Peggy Gou, one of the most desired names on the dance scene in the world. The artist, born in South Korea, has an extraordinary talent for transforming all the pieces she comes in contact with, and gou-mania is already an international phenomenon that will spread to us.

Electric Castle fans voted it one of the best concerts of the 2017 edition, but the band decided to break up immediately after that moment. Moderate is back now and, although they have nothing to prove in techno music, he promises a new album. More D4ta will be released in May, perfect for preparing for their festival concert.

Caribou, the Canadian producer with 2 Grammy nominations, is in the midst of promoting his latest album, Suddenly, an opportunity to rediscover the artist with his own band, in a liberating and cathartic show.

With Editors, with 2 platinum albums on the list, and Mogwai, the rock area of Electric Castle is very interesting. For those eager to explore the potential of pop, among the organizers' proposals are Aurora and Molchat Doma. Sven Väth, the electronic duo Sofi Tukker, Purple Disco Machine and many other artists complete the poster of the edition.
