Album review: Souls Of Tide - Black Magic

Review4805_SOT_BM2

Much like their first full length ’Join The Circus’ Souls Of Tide gives us a fresh album packed with groovy songs that make you feel good. Their sound is rock highly influenced from the 70’s with the characteristic keyboard giving it all a nice melodic touch.

The album starts off with the energetic ’Voodoo Ritual’ and has some various tracks that keeps you interested. The uplifting and catchy tunes are combined with heavier songs like ’Through The Fire’ and ’The Offering’. I remember from the first album that the choruses really stuck to my head and so is also the case this time.

There’s no secret that these guys know what they’re doing. They are talented experienced musicians who all of them gets the chance to prove their musical skills on each instrument. The sound is tight and leaves no room for mistakes. Top that with singer Vegar, this guy has lots of power in his voice. His screams really gives you goosebumps.

Give the album a listen and shortly after you will surely find yourself humming on some of the tracks.

Black Magic is released on may 22 2020 through Mighty Music.
