Rock im Park 2015 - day 3 | FESTIVALPHOTO

Rock im Park 2015 - day 3

After night storm, on the last festival day has come awaited slightly cool. The heatwave which plagued the festival retreat and visitors could enjoy the program more than on previous days. The last day start a few minutes after 12pm with performance of German’s hip-hop band Sondaschule, on Park stage. Sunday's program at this stage was in sign of home r’n'b a hip-hop artists like Bilderbuch, Prinz Pi, K.I.Z. or Deichkind.

The main stage belonged to the bands Zebrahead, Royal Republic, Interpol or ex-Guns N’ Roses guitarist Slash, with Alter Bridge singer Myles Kennedy and The Conspirators. I was very disappointed from Slash's performance. It was very boring performance and the audience reactions only further strengthened my impression. I can imagine him playing in some small club or pub where his performance can stand out but on the big festival like Rock im Park, especially on main stage, his appearance was completely losing. It was without energy and any audience responds.

After Slash’s performance, the main stage was occupied by German's punkers from Kraftklub who presented from the first tones high energic show.

The last headliner of Rock im Park 2015 who played on Sunday evening was The Prodigy. A few hours I was think if I have to go shooting The Prodigy or not, but at the end I was stay trust to real rock music and go to see Three Days Grace on Alterna stage. This band, despite is very popular in Europe, playing here very rarely. This time the band come to present a new singer who replaced Adam Gontier, and also brand new album Human, released at the end of March 2015. Except the songs from the last record, band have played all important hit singles like Home, Just Like You, I Hate Everything About You and of course, Never Too Late can’t missing.

From Sunday line up on Alterna stage in sport hall was also interested shows of the bands Lower Than Atlantis, Yellowcard, or new band of ex-Asking Alexandria singer Danny Worsnop - We Are Harlot. After announcement of Worsnop’s departure from AA, the organizers of festivals very fast finds a free spots for this band. The performance of We Are Harlot was much better than Asking Alexandria in previous night. It was like you watching the show of Asking Alexandria but with new band members and not their own tracks. Danny is a special singer and with his departure AA lost the spirit and I think that wouldn’t be easy to find the right singer and frontman and get back to position where the band were before.

One of the last bands which played at Rock im Park 2015 was american masked guys from Hollywood Undead. I wasn't know this band before this festival, but after this performance I needed to see HU a few more times. They opened their set with song Usual Suspects, from their latest record Day Of The Dead, released in March 2015, and from first tones they get fans to the boil. The overcrowded sport hall sing the songs with them and I think that they had the highest number of crowdsurfers from all bands who were performed at the same stage before, over the weekend.

The jubilee 20th year of Rock im Park ended with performance of british band Enter Shikari, and coming time to go back to the reality. Despite the extremes of weather, the people leaving the festival more than satisfied and pumped full of energy from unrepeatable shows. Organizers again proved that Rock im Park it’s not only the ordinary festival, but with his twin from Mendig, Rock am Ring, is among one of the best in Europe, beside Sziget (HU), Download (UK) or HellFest (FR). Thanks to MLK and Argo Konzerte for this amazing festivals, and we looking forward for the new adventures in 2016.
