Salif Keïta från Djoliba i Mali har varit verksam sen tidigt 70-tal, släppt musik under eget namn sedan 80-talet och brukar kallas för "Afrikas gyllene röst". Salif Keïta är albino och ättling i rakt nedstigande led till Malis grundare Sundiata Keita.
