HYPOCRISY | Release re-issue of 'Penetralia' and 'Osculum Obscenum' as a 2CD Box

Swedish Death Metal band HYPOCRISY were formed in 1990 by Peter Tagtgren upon his return to his homeland from Florida, where he was inspired by the state’s flourishing death metal scene that was coughing up bands like Obituary, Morbid Angel and Deicide. In 1992, they signed their first contract with Nuclear Blast Records and released the monumental debut ‘Penetralia’, the only album they released as a five-piece.

The follow-up ‘Osculum Obscenum’ (1993) marked another milestone in the history of crushing extreme death metal. Evil and dark, with eerie guitar work, hellish screams and epic riffs, it has a unique quality compared to other DM albums of that era.

With the recent release of Hypocrisy’s highly-acclaimed ‘End Of Disclosure’, the decision was made to re-release these classic albums, remastered and enriched with live bonus material in a limited 2CD box.

The 2CD box is due for release on 15th July 2013 via Nuclear Blast Records.
