  Future Music (Sydney)

Future Music Festival is an annual Australian dance music festival held in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide, Perth and Kuala Lumpur and is normally held in late February - early March. The festival has been headlined by notable acts including The Prodigy, The Chemical Brothers, New Order and The Stone Roses.

The festival began in 2008 as a traveling festival like the Big Day Out and Soundwave which visited Brisbane, Perth, Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide with The Chemical Brothers as the headline act, along with a range of other electronic, dance and indie rock acts. Since 2008, the Future Music Festival has annually traveled to Brisbane, Perth, Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide during a two-week period. In December 2011, Future Entertainment announced that the Future Music Festival would expand out to Asia for the 2012 festival with a show held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia which was headlined by The Chemical Brothers who headlined the first ever Future Music Festival in Australia. The Asian leg of the festival has a similar to the one in Australia with a mixture of local and international acts.

Boasting the best Australian acts, DJs, and international stars, Future Music Festival is guaranteed to provide state of the art audio and visual technology: expect a barrage of neon colors and bright lights to accompany the sounds of your favorite acts. Phoenix, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis and Deadmau5 headline the bill for the 2014 Future Music Festival.

Future Music Festival have confirmed their 2013 lineup, lead by hotly rumoured Madchester legends The Stone Roses.

Following through with their promise to deliver “the biggest lineup yet” FMF have confirmed nearly forty artists on next year’s bill, including dance-punks The Prodigy, the UK’s sharpest looking rapper Dizzy Rascal and a special guest performance from k-pop sensation PSY. Gangnam Style!
