In the heart of Oslo, on the ruins located in Middelalderparken, every year people get the chance to witness the most varied of music during the 4 days of Ĝyafestivalen on 4 different stages that gather together about 80 bands. Plus many many others performing at the clubs all over the city of Oslo at countless afterparties both during the festival days but also months prior to the festival.
Currently it seems that the number of visitors is at some value close to 60.000, hence making it one of the biggest events in Oslo. It is open air, so always at the mercy of mighty Thor, but one of the coolest gathering since it mixes up in the same place fans of such diverse genres of music: from indie to jazz, from the blackest of
metal to African rhythms and so on.
