Thanks for visiting Festivalphoto.net!

On this site you will find thousands of photos from festivals and concerts from around the world (mostly from northern Europe).

Back in the day, the site started out just as a place to share photos of festival life (all the stuff aside from the music that makes festivals so special like the campsites, the fans, the mud, the crazy costumes etc!) but in the summer of 2006 Rasmus started shooting many more concert photos and the site began to grow from there.

The photos you'll find on here nowadays are a great mix of pictures from headline gigs we attend around the year, fantastic festival performances and of course, still the general festival life pictures too.

The site is mainly for festival visitors, but should also been seen as a database with thousands of photos for magazines, bands, newspapers etc. Please contact us if you are interested in any of our photos or if you need a photographer for a concert or any other occasion. You can also read some reviews, interviews and blogs at Festivalphoto.

HISTORY

Festivalphoto.net was founded in 2005 by two young Swedish men by the names of Rasmus Lindgren and Thomas Glimfelt. They did this to combine their interest in photography and festivals. Rasmus had already been photographing most festivals that he had visited so they had a lot of photos to start with, and because of their dedication to visiting festivals, the number of photos soon doubled. Today festivalphoto.net has over 100 000 photos of concerts and festivals in its database. We also now have about 60 professional photographers across the world all working to cover as much as possible of the music industry so we can keep bringing you the best pictures.

Overall, Festivalphoto is here to share our and your festival experiences to enrich your memories and encourage new and regular festival visitors to keep coming .... and of course if you want to buy some of our photos that's fine too!

A lot of improvements have been made to Festivalphoto since it was first released. However in 2007 Festivalphoto became so large that some updates had to be done. Therefore Festivalphoto took aid from Björn Carlsson to help create a new and improved festivalphoto.net, a sort of 2.0 version. We then also took the opportunity to register festivalphoto.se to have this as a Swedish portal for Festivalphoto. We will keep updating and improving our site as we keep growing. Have a nice stay and come back regularly!
