| Like its previous installments, this year’s Rock Hard Festival is to take place on the grounds of Amphitheater Gelsenkirchen, Gelsenkirchen, Germany, on Whitsun weekend. Since Whit Monday is a public holiday, bands will play from Friday to Sunday, with camping being open from Thursday to Monday. Headlining are German metal veterans Kreator, Rage (+ Lingua Mortis Orchestra) and Accept. Co-Headliners Bloodbath will be holding their only German show of 2010, and so will recently reunited Exhorder. Alongside other great bands the editors Rock Hard Magazine got themselves Sonata Arctica, Nevermore, Sabaton, Raven, Katatonia, Virgin Steele (w/ classic metal set), Keep Of Kalessin, Artillery, Bulldozer and Swedish sleaze rockers Crashdiet. The festival’s fans are as diverse as the line-up and yet the camping ground is famous for its cozy atmosphere and friendly people. Contributing to that is the fact, that Rock Hard has always tried no to overcrowd the area (as opposed to other certain festivals in more northern regions).
